Job summary

The Fire Alarm & Security Technician role at Summit Fire & Security involves installing, troubleshooting, servicing and repairing fire alarm and life safety systems with minimal supervision. You will use a variety of tools and software, program components, and ensure safety procedures are followed on each project.

Qualified candidates have a High School Diploma or equivalent, NICET or state certification preferred, and 2 years in the fire life safety industry with NICET Level 1.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• NICET or state certification is preferred.
• 2 years Fire Life Safety Industry experience is required; NICET Level 1 is required; 2 years of computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, service and repair fire alarm and security systems with minimal supervision.
• Use tools and test equipment to repair or replace components.
• Follow safety program and complete documentation on work orders.
• Communicate with customers and monitoring companies professionally.
• Travel locally up to 90% and keep company vehicle maintained.
