Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking a Fire Alarm Project Manager to lead projects from inception to completion. You will coordinate field technicians, liaise with clients, and ensure code compliance while delivering on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate has strong fire alarm knowledge, project management experience, and excellent communication skills. Travel to job sites and coordination with contractors are expected as part of this role.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in the fire protection industry, focusing on Fire Alarm systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
• PM certifications (PMP, PgMP, CAPM) are highly desirable.
• Proficient with project management and scheduling software (MS Project, ServiceTrade).

Responsibilities

• Oversee Fire Alarm Projects from inception to completion.
• Coordinate field technicians and schedule crews with the superintendent.
• Develop project scopes, estimates, and budgets; monitor progress and performance.
• Ensure code compliance and safety standards across sites.
• Maintain project documentation and assist with invoicing discrepancies.
• Support sales by identifying service opportunities.

This individual will coordinate field technicians, liaise with clients, ensure code compliance, and deliver projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of fire alarm systems, project management experience, and excellent communication skills.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Manage multiple Fire Alarm Projects including modifications, retrofits, and new installations.Serve as the primary point of contact for General contractors, subcontractors, install technicians and internal departments.Develop project scopes, estimates, and budgets; monitor progress and performance.Assist in scheduling of technician crews, in conjunction with superintendentEnsuring work complies with applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards.Coordinate material procurement, subcontractor scheduling, and field service dispatching.Maintain accurate records including Project Status Reports, inspection forms, and any other required documentation.Assist with troubleshooting technical issues and providing solutions for system deficiencies.Oversee financials and help resolve any invoicing or billing discrepancies.Promote and maintain a safe working environment.Determine customer needs by conducting site surveys and communicate effectively to educate the customer.Assist with progress billing per contract guidelines.Support sales efforts by identifying service opportunities and providing recommendations.Other duties as assigned.Education/Qualification:3+ years minimum experience in the fire protection industry, with a focus on Fire Alarm systems.FAL (preferred)Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.Project Management certifications (PMP, PgMP, CAPM) are highly desirableProven project management experience, ideally in a service-based environment.NICET Level II or higher in Fire Alarm Systems (preferred).Proficient in project management and scheduling software (e.g., Microsoft Project, ServiceTrade, etc.)Valid driver's license and clean driving record.Other Duties:Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.Performs other duties as assignedPhysical Requirements:Office and field environment; occasional job site visits required.May need to work outside standard business hours to meet project deadlines or respond to emergencies.Benefits and Perks:Excellent payMedical, dental, visionCompany paid life insuranceCompany paid short-term disability401K with employer matchPaid vacation and company holidaysTraining and Career DevelopmentCompany vehicle (if job applicable)Immediate qualification for the ALL In Ownership Plan for all eligible full-time employeesPye-Barker Fire & Safety is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
