Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC in Tolleson, AZ, is seeking a Fire Alarm Install Superintendent to lead multiple installation projects and sizable field crews. You will manage on-site operations, interpret plans, perform installations and testing, and ensure compliance with codes and company standards.

The role requires 9+ years in fire and life safety, with at least 5+ years supervisory experience, NICET II or higher preferred, and a clean driving record. Travel to job sites will be required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Build your career with the industry-leading fire, life safety and security company.The Fire Alarm Install Superintendent is a senior field leader responsible for overseeing multiple projects and/or large crews while actively performing installation work. This role combines advanced technical expertise with strong leadership capabilities to ensure successful execution of complex fire alarm installation projects. The Superintendent coordinates field operations, supports team development, and ensures all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes, standards, and company expectations.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Lead and oversee multiple fire alarm installation projects and/or large field crews.Execute and support complex fire alarm system installations in accordance with plans, specifications, and applicable codes.Coordinate daily field operations across multiple job sites.Supervise, mentor, and develop Lead Technicians, technicians, and apprentices.Interpret advanced blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.Perform installation, system testing, troubleshooting, and verification as needed.Ensure all work complies with safety standards, codes, and company policies.Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project success.Monitor job progress, workforce allocation, productivity, and quality across projects.Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and communication on project status.Travel to job sites as required.Other duties as assigned by management.Education/Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required.9+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as a technician or above.Must have at least 5+ years of experience in a supervisory role.Demonstrated ability to lead large crews and manage multiple projects.Strong understanding of fire alarm systems, installation practices, and applicable codes.NICET Level II or above preferred.Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license (if driving is required).Other Duties:Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.Performs other duties as assigned by management.Physical Requirements:Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.Ability to lift 50+ pounds.Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.Work performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.Benefits and Perks:Excellent payMedical, dental, visionCompany paid life insuranceCompany paid short-term disability401K with employer matchPaid vacation and company holidaysTraining and Career DevelopmentCompany vehicle (if job applicable)Immediate qualification for the ALL In Ownership Plan for all eligible full-time employeesPye-Barker Fire & Safety is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
