Job summary

Shambaugh & Son, L.P. is seeking a Fire Alarm Project Manager to oversee all aspects of fire alarm systems, air sampling equipment, BDA and related components.

This role includes coordinating with subcontractors and driving projects to milestones. The candidate should bring NICET certification or equivalent experience, plus background in large-scale, high-tech fire alarm installations and design/layout, with strong estimating capabilities.

Qualifications

• NICET certification preferred.
• Experience in large scale hi-tech fire alarm projects preferred.
• Design and layout experience preferred.
• Estimating and job costing experience preferred.
• Experience with VESDA and BDA systems preferred.
• Experience in working with General Contractors.
• OSHA 30 required.
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends on high-paced projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of Fire Alarm, Air Sampling Equipment, BDA, and related systems including subcontractor management.
• Communicate project status with customers and internal teams.
• Develop and execute strategies to meet schedules and milestones.
• Assist with design, BOM, and scheduling.
• Coordinate with field Superintendents and other Project Managers for project needs.
• Order materials and equipment; assist in estimating and change orders.

Job Summary

Shambaugh is looking for a Fire Alarm Project Manager. In this role you would be responsible for managing all aspects of the work assigned to include Fire Alarm, Air Sampling equipment, BDA, auxiliary system connections as well as subcontractor management.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing all aspects of the work assigned to them to include but not limited to Fire Alarm, Air Sampling equipment, BDA, auxiliary system connections as well as subcontractor management.


• Responsible for all communication regarding the project status with both customer base as well as the internal communications.


• Develop and execute strategies to meet the required schedule work in progress meetings and milestones.


• Assist with design, bill of materials, and scheduling.


• Work with field Superintendents and other Project Managers for project needs and progress.


• Order materials and equipment needed for projects.


• Assist in estimating, change orders, and project durations as requested.


• Fulfill client documentation requirements.


• Other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Experience with VESDA and BDA systems preferred.


• Experience in working with General Contractors.


• Experience in building teams and assessing technician ability.

• Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required
