Job summary

Shambaugh & Son is seeking a Fire Alarm Project Manager to oversee all aspects of fire alarm, air sampling equipment, BDA, and related systems. The role includes coordinating with field staff, managing subcontractors, and ensuring timely project execution.

The ideal candidate will have NICET certification, experience with large-scale fire alarm projects, and familiarity with VESDA/BDA systems. OSHA 30 is required, with a capacity to work extended hours as needed.

Qualifications

• NICET certification preferred.
• Experience in large scale, hi-tech fire alarm projects preferred.
• Experience with VESDA and BDA systems is advantageous.
• Experience estimating, and working with General Contractors is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of Fire Alarm, Air Sampling equipment and BDA projects, plus subcontractor management.
• Communicate project status with customers and internal teams.
• Develop and execute strategies to meet schedules and milestones.
• Assist with design, BOM, and scheduling.
• Coordinate with field Superintendents and other Project Managers.
• Order materials and equipment for projects.
• Assist in estimating, change orders, and project durations.

Job Summary

Shambaugh is looking for a Fire Alarm Project Manager. In this role you would be responsible for managing all aspects of the work assigned to include Fire Alarm, Air Sampling equipment, BDA, auxiliary system connections as well as subcontractor management.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing all aspects of the work assigned to them to include but not limited to Fire Alarm, Air Sampling equipment, BDA, auxiliary system connections as well as subcontractor management.
• Responsible for all communication regarding the project status with both customer base as well as the internal communications.
• Develop and execute strategies to meet the required schedule work in progress meetings and milestones.
• Assist with design, bill of materials, and scheduling.
• Work with field Superintendents and other Project Managers for project needs and progress.
• Order materials and equipment needed for projects.
• Assist in estimating, change orders, and project durations as requested.
• Fulfill client documentation requirements.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications

• NICET certification preferred.
• Experience in large scale and hi-tech fire alarm projects preferred.
• Design and layout experience preferred.
• Estimating and job costing experience preferred.
• Experience with VESDA and BDA systems preferred.
• Experience in working with General Contractors.
• Experience in building teams and assessing technician ability.
• OSHA 30 required.
• Experience in high paced, large construction projects.
• Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required
