Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an installer/service professional to test and inspect fire alarm equipment for a diverse customer base. You will document work with provided tools, adhere to safety policies, and perform tasks in varied positions, including ladders and high lifts.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work flexible hours. A High School Diploma is expected, with NICET I target within one year.

Qualifications

• Required Installation or Service Experience in testing and inspecting Fire Alarm Equipment.
• Self-starter that can work with little or no supervision.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to learn quickly.
• Capable of performing physical labor and lifting up to 70 lbs.
• Basic computer skills—Excel/Word/Outlook; smartphone proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Test and inspect fire alarm systems with existing and new customer base.
• Maintain proper documentation for work performed using provided tools.
• Follow company safety policies and procedures.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• Carry/move equipment and tools weighing up to 70lbs.
• Work in unusual positions; climb ladders, scaffolding, high lift equipment.
• Work alternative shifts or weekends to meet customer needs.
