Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a skilled field technician to test and inspect fire alarm systems for a diverse customer base. You will document work performed and follow safety policies while handling equipment up to 70 lbs.

Applicants should have installation or service experience, strong communication, and be able to work with minimal supervision. A high school diploma and a valid driver's license are required; NICET I within 1 year is preferred.

Qualifications

• Installation or service experience in testing and inspecting Fire Alarm Equipment.
• Ability to work with little or no supervision and learn quickly.
• Strong organization, positive attitude and communication skills.
• Capable of performing physical labor; lifting up to 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Test and inspect fire alarm systems with existing and new customer base.
• Maintain proper documentation for work performed using tools provided.
• Follow company safety policies and procedures.
• Carry/move equipment and tools weighing up to 70lbs.
• Work in unusual positions, such as climbing ladders or scaffolding.
• Work alternate shifts or weekends to meet customer needs.
