Job summary

Encore Fire Protection is seeking a Fire Alarm Inspector to conduct on-site inspections, tests, and troubleshooting of fire alarm systems at customer sites. You will document performance, program and service a variety of panels, and respond to service calls as needed.

You will collaborate with building owners, contractors, and internal teams, ensuring work complies with codes and customer expectations. A valid driver’s license and 3 years of experience are required to join a team focused on

Qualifications

• Three years of fire alarm industry experience with training and a high school diploma.
• Knowledge of NFPA 72, NEC, OSHA requirements, and industry standards for fire alarm systems.
• Hands-on experience with multiple fire alarm system manufacturers (Gamewell FCI, Siemens, Notifier, Edwards, Simplex, Honeywell, FireLite).

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and document the performance of fire alarm systems per standards and customer requirements.
• Program, service, and troubleshoot a range of fire alarm systems with minimal supervision.
• Respond to service and emergency calls, including occasional night/weekend work.
• Coordinate daily work with contractors and client staff to complete inspections and repairs efficiently.
• Identify code/standards gaps and communicate findings clearly.
• Provide recommendations for system improvements to enhance safety and compliance.
• Complete troubleshooting and repair work and ensure issues are resolved.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and recommendations for each site.
