Job summary

FSS Technologies is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Inspector to inspect, test, and maintain fire alarm and sprinkler systems at customer sites. You will document deficiencies, advise on repairs, and help ensure code compliance while collaborating with service technicians.

The role requires knowledge of NFPA 72 and NFPA 25, a high attention to detail, and strong communication with customers. This position offers training, benefits, and a safety-focused work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience in fire alarm and sprinkler system inspection or maintenance.
• Working knowledge of NFPA 25, NFPA 72, and local building and fire codes.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a driving record that meets our insurance carrier's standards.
• Strong attention to detail, documentation, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage your own workload and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and maintain fire alarm and sprinkler systems according to NFPA standards, local codes, and customer requirements.
• Identify, document, and report deficiencies and malfunctions, with recommendations for repairs or upgrades.
• Confirm systems comply with state, federal, and local fire and life safety regulations.
• Explain inspection results to customers and advise on maintenance and corrective actions.
• Prepare and submit detailed inspection reports within required timeframes.
• Work with service technicians to resolve identified issues quickly.
• Stay current on codes, regulations, and fire alarm and sprinkler manufacturers and models.
• Follow all company safety policies and keep a clean, organized work environment.
