Job summary

Total Fire Protection is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm and Sprinkler Inspector to perform regular inspections, tests, and maintenance across sprinkler and alarm systems in multiple locations. You will interpret NFPA codes, prepare detailed reports, and advise on corrective actions to ensure code compliance and safe operation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in fire protection installation or inspection
• State and/or National certifications where applicable
• Strong knowledge of NFPA, IFC and IBC codes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
• 2+ years inspecting or installing fire alarm systems
• Vehicle operation and clean driving record
• NICET or Florida equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of fire protection systems (sprinkler, alarm)
• Inspect sprinkler systems (wet, dry, pre-action, deluge) and fire pumps
• Prepare detailed inspection reports with findings, tests, and recommendations
• Interpret and apply NFPA codes and local regulations
• Communicate with owners, contractors, and stakeholders on results
• Coordinate inspections and participate in on-call rotation
• Stay updated on fire protection technologies and codes
