Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year experience with fire alarm systems or related fields.
• NICET Level I certification preferred.
• Knowledge of electronics, electrical systems, and fire alarm technologies.
• Ability to read schematics and NEC/industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on fire detection and alarm systems.
• Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, and maintain fire alarm detection and suppression systems.
• Support campus projects requiring outages for fire alarm, smoke detector, or duct detector systems.
• Isolate and re‑enable fire detection systems during hot work activities.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documents.
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance and testing activities.
• Communicate effectively with Facilities staff, contractors, and hospital personnel.
