Job summary

SSD Alarm in Anaheim, CA is hiring a Fire Systems Drafter. You will interpret project specs with Sales and Project Managers to determine system layout and create submittal documents using AutoCAD.

• Understand and follow company-drafting procedures.
• Stay current with technologies offered by the company and engage in personal development.
• Promote team environment and assist other Design Engineers and staff with projects.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Work with Sales, Project Managers, and Technical staff to interpret project specs and drawings, determine system layout


• Create Access Control & Fire Alarm submittal documents and record drawings using AutoCAD and MS Office software


• Perform to a professional standard for accurate, neat, error free work with an emphasis on attention to detail


• Review individual drawings to ensure completeness and accuracy of work performed


• Understand and utilize company-drafting procedures


• Actively participate in personal and professional development and maintain knowledge of current and new technologies that the company offers


• Promote a team environment, assisting other Design Engineers and staff with their projects


• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year experience in AutoCAD


• Ability to read blueprints and coordinate the creation of necessary drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation


• Strong written and verbal skills


• Highly organized with ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment


• Valid and clean driver\'s license


• Proficient knowledge and certifications in the use of AutoCAD


• Must demonstrate computer literacy, including such programs as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and AutoCAD
