Johnson Controls in the United States seeks a Fire Alarm Designer to design fire alarm systems for Johnson Controls projects, acting as design lead on large, complex initiatives and guiding other design team members.

You will coordinate with CAD staff to prepare detailed submissions, perform calculations, ensure code compliance, and support project managers to protect margins. NICET III and NFPA 72 experience are preferred, with strong CAD and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in design of Fire and Security systems.
• NICET Certification Level III required; Level II with Level III attainability considered.
• Experience with NFPA 72 (National Fire Alarm Code).
• Proficient in CAD/drafting, Excel, and project management.
• Ability to read architectural and electrical diagrams.
• Must have full-time availability and permit travel.

Responsabilités

• Lead fire alarm design activities on Johnson Controls projects.
• Coordinate with CAD teams to produce detailed submissions.
• Review designs for code compliance and value engineering.
• Develop bill of materials and support project managers.
• Attend customer and site coordination meetings as needed.
