Job summary

Qualifications

• 3+ years of fire alarm design experience.

• Proficient in AutoCAD; learning new software encouraged.
• NICET Fire Alarm Systems certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fire alarm design drawings within time and budget constraints for commercial and residential buildings.
• Interpret and apply requirements from IBC, NEC/NFPA 70, NFPA 72, project specs and AHJ requirements.
• Assist with field surveys of existing fire alarm systems to support design development.
• Prepare material take-offs and equipment lists for submittals and installations.
• Maintain project drawing files and ensure accuracy of work.
