Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions seeks an Engineering Manager to lead designers and CAD Operators, ensuring design quality, code compliance, and timely delivery for fire/life-safety projects. You will drive process improvements, mentor staff, and collaborate with project managers and sales to meet customer requirements.

Ideal candidates have NICET Level III, AutoCAD proficiency, and strong knowledge of NFPA 72 and fire protection codes, with the ability to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience leading design and CAD Operator teams in fire/life-safety projects.
• NICET Level III certification in Fire Alarm and/or Special Hazards preferred.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 72 and current fire protection codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of designers and CAD Operators, providing supervision and mentoring.
• Review designs for quality, code compliance, and budget alignment.
• Manage design backlog and coordinate with sales/project managers.
• Develop and enforce AutoCAD design and drafting standards.
• Support safety culture and ensure adherence to company policies.
