Responsibilities

• Design the layout of fire alarm systems and special hazards fire protection systems using AutoCAD-based software.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and prepare submittal drawings to obtain building permits.
• Coordinate in 3D with NavisWorks for BIM workflows.
• Assist with project scheduling and on-site field surveys.
• Create material stock listings for pre-fabrication and prepare installation drawings.
• Prepare close-out packages and operation & maintenance documents.

How you will contribute:
This is a great opportunity touse your education while playing a key role in various fire suppression system projects. As an Intern, you will exercise your attention to detail while designing the layout of fire alarm systems and special hazards fire protection systems using AutoCAD-based software. Additional responsibilities include computer-generated hydraulic calculations, submittal drawings to obtain required building permits, 3D BIM coordination using NavisWorks, project scheduling, on‑site field surveys, material stock listing for pre‑fabrication, installation drawings, and preparing close‑out and project operation and maintenance documents.

What you need to qualify:
Prior experience working in AutoCADand strong math and analytical skills is preferred. Candidates should be in good academic standing. Knowledge of the construction industry is helpful.
