Ahern in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin is seeking a Mechanical Design Intern to assist Designers in laying out mechanical systems for regional projects. You will prepare drawings for State or City plan reviews and help ensure timely fabrication and installation.

Qualifications

How You Will Contribute

As a Drafter, you will work closely with several Designers to layout mechanical systems for regional construction projects. These drawings are submitted for State or City plan review and ultimately used for the fabrication and installation of plumbing systems. This position will require strong attention to detail, organization and adherence to deadlines in order to allow the field to execute the projects in a timely fashion to meet our customer's needs.

What You Need To Qualify

Candidates need to be available to work in Fond du Lac part time during the school year and full time in the summer. Candidates should be enrolled in a post secondary major in computer aided drafting, mechanical design, or other related program. Proficiency in AutoCAD, exposure to Revit and strong math and analytical skills is required.
