Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm and Security Service Technician to independently maintain and service fire alarm and security systems across commercial, industrial, and construction environments. You will diagnose issues, perform standard service calls, and document inspections with precision.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in fire and life safety, a strong grasp of system components, and the ability to work unsupervised while ensuring code compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3+ years in fire and life safety as a technician.
• NICET Level I+ preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record if role requires driving.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and service of fire alarm and security systems independently.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues and implement corrective actions.
• Complete standard service calls without direct supervision.
• Interpret system drawings, specifications, and technical manuals.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment to perform required tasks.
• Provide guidance and support to entry-level technicians as needed.

Build your career with the industry-leading fire, life safety and security company.The Fire Alarm and Security Service Technician is a role responsible for independently performing core technical functions related to the service of fire alarm and security systems. This position is capable of completing standard service and maintenance tasks without direct supervision.
