Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC, the industry-leading fire, life safety and security company, seeks a Fire Alarm Service Technician to perform independent maintenance and service of fire alarm systems.

You will diagnose issues, interpret drawings, use testing tools, complete service calls, and document inspections while ensuring compliance with codes and company policies. Travel to commercial, industrial, and construction sites and mentor entry-level technicians.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in fire and life safety as a technician.
  • NICET Level I or above preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks.
  • Clean driving record if driving role is required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and service fire alarm systems independently.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues and implement fixes.
  • Complete standard service calls without supervision.
  • Interpret system drawings, specs and manuals.
  • Use hand tools and testing equipment to perform tasks.
  • Ensure all work complies with codes, standards, and policies.
  • Accurately complete service reports and inspection records.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and supervisors.
  • Identify deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain a safe work environment on job sites.
  • Provide guidance to entry-level technicians as needed.

Build your career with the industry-leading fire, life safety and security company.The Fire Alarm Service Technician is a role responsible for independently performing core technical functions related to the service of fire alarm systems. This position is capable of completing standard service and maintenance tasks without direct supervision.
