Job summary

Wachter, Inc. is seeking a Fire Alarm/Intrusion/Access Control Service Technician to service multiple retail locations across the United States. The role involves installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of low‑voltage systems with a focus on high customer satisfaction.

Typical hours are 8 am–5 pm with some night shifts; travel up to 30% and occasional overnights. A company vehicle is provided after orientation; a valid driver’s license with clean record is required.

Qualifications

• Field installation experience in security environments (Fire Alarm /Intrusion / Access Control).
• NICET certification preferred; valid security or life safety licenses required.
• Ability to read blueprints and site maps; proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair cabling and equipment for IP video, access control, intrusion, and LAN/WAN infra.
• Run low voltage cabling in commercial buildings and manage conduit work as needed.
• Complete wiring/terminations to ensure systems meet contracts and customer satisfaction.
• Install or upgrade fire alarm systems and program control panels per plans.
• Test systems, ensure compliance with codes, and perform safety checks.
• Collaborate with Installation Lead/PM on schedules and deliveries.
• Troubleshoot new installations to ensure proper operation and regulatory compliance.
