Foundation Software seeks an Underwriting Specialist to coordinate between our firm and Corpay, ensuring efficient underwriting of new corporate card and expense management accounts. You will support documentation, review for accuracy, and keep stakeholders informed throughout the process.

The role emphasizes strong organization, compliance, and collaboration with sales, operations, and risk teams in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in underwriting coordination or related financial services.
• Understanding of business credit and underwriting principles.
• Excellent communication and ability to translate updates clearly.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Attention to detail and compliance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM/workflow tools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the central point of contact between the company and Corpay for underwriting activities.
• Coordinate collection, review, and submission of client documents for underwriting approval.
• Review applications for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with underwriting requirements.
• Track and manage status of active underwriting files through each review stage.
• Communicate underwriting progress, missing information, or decisions to sales and account teams.
• Liaise with Corpay’s underwriting and credit teams to clarify requirements and expedite approvals.
• Maintain compliant records of all underwriting communications and decisions.
• Identify potential risk or compliance issues and escalate as needed.
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve underwriting workflows and data accuracy.
• Assist in developing and refining underwriting procedures and checklists.
• Support onboarding and activation of new accounts post-underwriting approval.
