Job summary

FreedomPay is seeking a Sales Engineer to act as the technical counterpart in a high-velocity sales cycle. You will run technical discovery, deliver demos, and craft responses to RFIs/RFPs to win deals.

You will collaborate with Product, Integrations, and Account teams to ensure what is sold can be delivered, while leveraging AI tools to accelerate discovery, demos, and RFP drafting. Some travel is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; technical or business discipline preferred.
3–5+ years in Sales Engineering or comparable pre-sales role.
Commercial mindset: understands quota, pipeline, and forecasting.
Familiarity with payments and FinTech, including card-present and card-not-present flows.
Comfort with APIs and integration concepts for credible conversations with developers.

Responsibilities

Drive pipeline and win rate by partnering with Sales on qualification and prioritization.
Conduct technical discovery to uncover business drivers and decision process.
Deliver demos and proofs of concept aligned to the client's business case.
Own RFIs, RFPs, and security questionnaires with accurate, persuasive responses.
Escalate complex architecture to Solution Engineering and brief them effectively.
Collaborate with Product, Systems Integrations, Account Management, and Partners to ensure deliverable readiness.
Use AI to accelerate discovery, demos, and RFP drafting and share reusable assets.
