Rishabh RPO is seeking a Quality Engineer in Plano, TX for a 6-month+ contract. The role focuses on end-to-end testing of financial systems, with emphasis on REST APIs, data integrity, SOX controls, and audit-ready documentation.

The candidate will collaborate across engineering, accounting, and controls, delivering scalable test strategies and CI/CD integrated automation. The position offers a hybrid work setup (onsite Wednesday) with a $70 hourly rate, and requires strong analytical skills,

Formación

• 3+ years of QA/test engineering experience in backend financial or regulated systems.
• Proficiency in Python with hands-on pytest for test automation.
• Strong test automation skills with CI/CD integration (Playwright a plus).
• Strong SQL skills for data validation and control testing.
• SOX/internal-controls testing experience including segregation-of-duties and audit evidence.
• Experience testing REST APIs (Postman/REST-assured).
• Attention to detail and ability to produce audit-ready documentation.
• Excellent communication across engineering, business, and audit teams.

Responsabilidades

• Design and execute functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, and non-functional test plans for multi-step financial workflows.
• Validate financial computations, reconcile data across layers, and write SQL to verify correctness.
• Translate SOX and control requirements into executable test cases with developers and stakeholders.
• Test maker-checker workflows, RBAC boundaries, and segregation-of-duties via API testing.
• Test event-driven workflows across services, ensuring message delivery and idempotency.
• Verify audit events are generated with accurate content and timestamps in immutable stores.
• Test inbound/outbound data with third-party systems for schema correctness and reconciliation.
• Produce audit-ready artifacts for external auditors, including test plans and evidence packages.
• Track defects through lifecycle with traceability and closure.
• Maintain automated test suites integrated into CI/CD pipelines for every release.
• Generate and manage test data; review logs and troubleshoot across layers.
• Participate in sprint ceremonies, release readiness, and production support triage.
• Help establish QA processes, standards, and best practices.
