Job summary

First Internet Bank of Indiana seeks a Fintech Partnerships Risk Manager to lead risk assessment and ongoing governance for fintech partnerships and programs in a banking environment.

You will coordinate due diligence, action-item tracking, and documentation across stakeholders and fintech partners to ensure timely and thorough risk reviews that reflect evolving regulatory expectations and business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, risk management, or related field.
• Minimum of five years of experience in risk management, compliance, regulatory examinations, audits, fintech partnerships, financial services, or related area.
• Previous experience with Banking as a Service (BaaS) platforms is preferred.
• Strong understanding of risk assessment and management principles, with the ability to connect operational, compliance, regulatory, business, and partner considerations into a cohesive view of risk.
• Ability to translate regulatory, audit, examination, risk review, and subject matter expert feedback into clear action items, owners, timelines, and follow-up expectations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial due diligence and ongoing periodic reviews of fintech partnerships and programs to prepare risk memos and related documentation.
• Coordinate action items identified through onboarding, due diligence, reviews, audits, and examinations.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to clarify expectations and translate feedback into actionable next steps.
• Prioritize action items by risk, urgency, and regulatory impact; escalate when necessary.
• Maintain detailed documentation of action items, ownership, dates, status, and outcomes.
• Drive items to completion by coordinating with stakeholders and fintech partners.
• Synthesize information to ensure risk reviews reflect product, partnership, controls, and action items.
• Ensure documentation supports risk memos and governance materials.
• Anticipate and respond to examination and audit requests.
