Job summary
Cooley LLP seeks an experienced associate or special counsel to join its Financial Services Regulatory practice. Candidates should have at least five years of experience with sophisticated technology and commercial transactions, with particular experience advising clients in the fintech, payments, cryptocurrency and/or digital assets sectors.
Ideal candidates will have experience drafting and negotiating complex technology and commercial agreements, including technology licensing, SaaS and cloud
Qualifications
- At least five years experience in technology transactions, fintech and digital assets.
- Strong drafting and negotiation of tech and commercial agreements.
- Experience with fintech/digital assets platforms incl. blockchain, crypto, stablecoins, and custody.
- Strong academic credentials and client-management ability.
- Experience at a national law firm with tech transactions, fintech or digital assets is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients on structuring and launching innovative products at the intersection of tech and financial services regulation.
- Draft and negotiate technology licenses, SaaS and cloud agreements, and strategic partnerships.
- Manage sophisticated matters and maintain client relationships.
