Job summary

Fullsteam is seeking a Corporate Counsel to support its fintech software and payments platform. You will advise on commercial transactions, product development, privacy initiatives, and regulatory compliance, collaborating with sales, product, engineering, information security, and compliance leadership.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active U.S. state bar license in good standing.
• 3–5 years of legal experience, in a law firm or in-house.
• Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Experience advising on payments, software, or technology transactions.
• Knowledge of contract law, indemnification, liability, IP and data security.
• Strong written and verbal communication, ability to advise stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide variety of commercial agreements.
• Advise business teams on contractual risk, including indemnification and liability.
• Support payment processing operations and PCI DSS/regulatory guidelines.
• Partner with product, engineering, and security on legal considerations for new products.
• Assist with privacy and data protection compliance (CCPA/CPRA, GDPR).
• Develop and maintain contract templates and playbooks.
• Provide day-to-day legal advice on commercial and strategic matters.
• Support governance, acquisitions, vendor management, and regulatory examinations.
• Monitor regulatory developments affecting software, fintech, and payments.
