Job summary

JCW Group is seeking a skilled legal professional to support the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer in Stamford, CT. The role offers exposure across commercial contracts, regulatory compliance and corporate legal work with genuine ownership and visibility.

Key responsibilities include negotiating client/vendor agreements, managing market data licensing, and supporting SEC/FINRA/CFTC/NFA compliance.

Qualifications

• JD strongly preferred but not essential.
• Experience with broker-dealer or regulator environments is highly valued.
• Solid understanding of US securities rules and commodities regulation is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Review, negotiate and advise on client, vendor, IT, licensing and employment agreements and standardise docs.
• Own market data licensing with domestic and foreign exchanges.
• Support regulatory compliance programme across SEC, FINRA, CFTC and NFA obligations.
• Manage regulatory examinations, inquiries and filings with regulators.
• Advise business, sales, HR and operations on legal and compliance risk.
• Review and approve marketing materials, research publications, and client communications.
• Track regulatory developments and translate them into practical guidance for the business.
