Job summary

Origence, a leader in fintech lending solutions, seeks an Associate Corporate Attorney to support indirect and direct lending, privacy, and financial services matters. You will draft, negotiate, and advise on complex contracts and regulatory compliance while partnering with senior attorneys and internal clients.

Ideal candidates hold a J.D. from an accredited law school, California Bar admission, and 2–3+ years of relevant legal experience in fintech or financial services.

Qualifications

• Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments under tight deadlines.
• Experience advising on regulatory compliance (consumer financial protection statutes, data privacy, software licensing).
• Exposure to commercial technology contracts or subscription services.
• Prior exposure to litigation support or regulatory investigations.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts independently or with senior attorneys.
• Provide legal advice on regulatory, compliance, privacy, and business issues affecting financial services and SaaS operations.
• Conduct legal research and analysis of statutes, regulations, and case law relevant to company operations.
• Support litigation matters, including strategy, calendaring, discovery, and working with outside counsel.
• Update internal policies, procedures, and manuals.
• Monitor and interpret changes in regulatory frameworks and industry best practices affecting credit unions and licensed lenders.
