Job summary

Félix is seeking a Semi-Senior Software Engineer to join its fintech engineering team. You will own key projects, help shape the architecture of core financial infrastructure, and collaborate with product and engineering to build payment processing and risk controls on Python-based services.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of software experience, strong Python skills, and familiarity with REST APIs, SQL/NoSQL, and GCP.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python and backend development fundamentals.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
• Understanding of distributed systems, scalability, and fault tolerance.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services using Python.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and help scale payment and financial systems.
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code with a focus on performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with a mindset for long-term improvement.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and deliver solutions.
• Use GCP services to build cloud-native solutions.
• Participate in improving CI/CD pipelines, observability, and dev tooling.
