Job summary

Goliath Partners Inc. is building a next-generation financial services platform for high-net-worth clients, seeking a senior backend engineer to own payments, rewards, and account services.

You will design and build high-volume APIs and services, shape architecture, and partner with frontend teams to deliver polished features. You bring 6+ years of production experience in backend or full-stack systems, strong Python (Django preferred), and expertise with PostgreSQL and AWS.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of production backend or full-stack experience.
• Strong Python (Django preferred).
• Experience designing APIs, data models, and services on PostgreSQL and AWS.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Nice to have: distributed, high-availability production environments; builder mindset with ownership from concept to production.

Responsibilities

• Design and build backend services and APIs handling high-volume, high-stakes financial transactions
• Own full features end-to-end across payments, rewards, account services, and partner integrations
• Shape technical architecture as the platform scales
• Partner with frontend and mobile engineers on polished, full-stack features
• Raise the bar on reliability, performance, and observability across backend systems
