Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking an Accounting Manager for a publicly traded fintech, blending capital markets and data analytics. The role leads full-cycle accounting, with daily operations, journal entries, monthly closes, and financial reporting.

The ideal candidate has 5-8+ years in accounting, CPA preferred, and experience in electronic trading or financial services. This hybrid role offers 3 days onsite and 2 remote, with a strong compensation package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA (or actively pursuing licensure) preferred.
• 5-8+ years accounting experience in financial services, with public exposure.
• Strong proficiency in accounting software/ERP and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations and ensure compliance with standards and controls.
• Support trading activities with journal entries, close processes, and reporting.
• Prepare and review general ledger entries and monthly/quarterly closes.
• Analyze variances and prepare financial reporting packages.
• Assist in core financial statements and liaise with external auditors.
• Develop policies to automate and strengthen financial operations.
• Stay updated on industry trends in capital markets and data analytics.
