OMES in Oklahoma City is seeking a FinOps Engineer to optimize IT and multi-cloud financial operations across Azure, AWS, and GCP, serving as the primary administrator for IBM Cloudability and managing cost allocation, reporting, and dashboards.
The role supports budgeting, forecasting, procurement, and governance to strengthen financial visibility and drive FinOps maturity across the organization.

Full-time 40-hour work weeks. Support the Information Services Division. Salary is based on education and experience. This is an on-site position located in Oklahoma City, OK.
The FinOps Engineer is responsible for optimizing IT and multi‑cloud financial operations across Azure, AWS, and GCP by serving as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for IBM Cloudability, managing cost allocation, reporting, dashboards, and ongoing optimization initiatives. The engineer monitors cloud and IT expenditures, evaluates trends, identifies variances and savings opportunities, and supports budgeting, forecasting, purchase reviews, and long‑range planning. This role prepares executive‑level financial reports and dashboards, supports vendor billing and contract management, ensures compliance with financial and procurement policies, and partners with IT, Finance, Procurement, cloud platform teams, and external providers to improve financial visibility, strengthen governance, and advance FinOps maturity across the organization.
This position works in a comfortable office setting with a computer for a large percentage of the workday. The noise level in the work environment is usually mild. Occasional travel may be required.
Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field and 2 or more years of professional experience in financial analysis, preferably within IT, technology, or cloud‑focused environments.
