Job summary

OMES in Oklahoma City is seeking a FinOps Engineer to optimize IT and multi-cloud financial operations across Azure, AWS, and GCP, serving as the primary administrator for IBM Cloudability and managing cost allocation, reporting, and dashboards.

The role supports budgeting, forecasting, procurement, and governance to strengthen financial visibility and drive FinOps maturity across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, IT, or Finance.
• 2+ years of professional experience in financial analysis, preferably within IT, technology, or cloud-focused environments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cloud consumption and costs across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Serve as SME for IBM Cloudability, managing dashboards, cost allocation rules, automation policies, workflows, and optimization recommendations.
• Build forecasting models to predict cloud usage and financial impact, enhancing budget accuracy and long-term planning.
• Identify cost anomalies, unused resources, waste patterns, and rightsizing opportunities using Cloudability analytics.
• Create and maintain KPIs, benchmarks, and trends related to cloud financial health.
