Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a Finishing Room Lead in Lenoir, NC to oversee daily finishing room operations, ensure safe and efficient production, and meet quality standards. You will lead, train, and coach staff, assign tasks, monitor schedules, and drive continuous improvement.

You will inspect products, enforce SOPs, coordinate equipment maintenance, manage waste and downtime, and communicate issues to management while maintaining a clean, safe work environment and compliance with OSHA.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing/production experience required.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, production schedules, and safety procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift during shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate daily finishing room activities and production priorities.
  • Assign work to employees and ensure adequate staffing to meet production requirements.
  • Monitor production schedules, workflow, and finished-product output.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure quality and customer specifications.
  • Train, coach, and support finishing room employees on processes and safety.
  • Ensure employees follow SOPs and work instructions.
  • Identify and address quality issues, production delays, and workflow problems.
  • Operate and oversee finishing equipment as required.
  • Perform equipment adjustments, cleaning, and routine maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and OSHA requirements.
  • Monitor material usage and minimize waste and downtime.
  • Communicate production issues and staffing needs to management.
  • Complete required production, quality, and safety documentation.
  • Assist with inventory control and proper handling of materials.
  • Support process improvements to increase productivity and quality.
  • Serve as a positive example of teamwork and safe practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
