Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience in furniture manufacturing, upholstery, or quality control.
  • Ability to read work orders and understand quality standards.
  • Familiarity with ISO quality standards and inspection procedures.
  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform final quality inspections on finished furniture items (sofas, chairs, beds).
  • Verify dimensions, materials, finishes, upholstery, and assembly against specifications and work orders.
  • Inspect for defects such as scratches, dents, uneven finishes, fabric flaws, stitching errors, or structural weaknesses.
  • Ensure hardware components are correctly installed and secure.
  • Approve, reject, or flag items for rework based on inspection results.
  • Document inspection results accurately in quality control reports.
  • Communicate defects and quality concerns to production supervisors and relevant departments.
  • Ensure products are clean, properly labeled, and ready for packaging.
  • Maintain inspection tools and adhere to workplace safety standards.
  • Assist in identifying recurring quality issues and recommend corrective actions.

# Quality InspectorPlant 2 Upholstery Plant - Lenoir, NC 28645## Description**Job Summary**The Final Furniture Inspector is responsible for conducting thorough inspections of finished furniture products to ensure they meet company quality standards, customer specifications, and safety requirements before packaging and shipment.
