Job summary

Norton Rixson Door Controls is seeking a 1st Shift Finishing Supervisor to lead the Paint Line, E-Coat, Buffing, and Arms Assembly teams. You will drive safety, quality, and output to meet schedules and customer requirements while coaching hourly staff and advancing continuous improvement.

The role requires an associates degree (bachelor's preferred) in a technical field or business management and 2+ years in metals machining or electronics manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a technical field or business management required.
• 2+ years of experience in metals machining and electronics manufacturing.
• Experience in paint systems, coating operations, assembly processes, or finishing operations preferred.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with lean or continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the Paint Line, E-Coat, Buffing, and Arms Assembly departments to achieve production schedules while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency.
• Partner with Quality Assurance to investigate defects, implement corrective actions, and reduce scrap and rework.
• Monitor KPIs including productivity, efficiency, scrap, rework, and downtime; identify opportunities to improve throughput and reduce waste.
• Conduct employee training, coaching, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as necessary; maintain a safe work environment and regulatory compliance.
