Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions is seeking a 1st Shift Finishing Supervisor to lead the Finishing Department, including Paint Line, E-Coat, Buffing, and Arms Assembly operations. You will drive safe, efficient production, meet schedules, and ensure customer expectations are achieved.

The role requires supervising hourly team members, pushing continuous improvement, and developing employee skills while maintaining compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a technical field or business management required.
• B.S. degree in a technical field or business management, preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in metals machining and electronics manufacturing.
• Experience in paint systems, coating operations, assembly processes, or finishing operations preferred.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, making effective real time decisions
• Demonstrated experience with a variety of lean or continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the Paint Line, E-Coat, Buffing, and Arms Assembly departments.
• Ensure production schedules are achieved while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency standards.
• Partner with Quality Assurance to investigate defects, implement corrective actions, and reduce scrap and rework.
• Monitor KPIs including productivity, efficiency, scrap, rework, and downtime.
• Identify opportunities to improve throughput, reduce waste, and optimize departmental performance.
• Conduct employee training, coaching, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as necessary.
• Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to paint application and E-Coat processes.

Job description

The 1st Shift Finishing Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day leadership, coordination, and performance of the Finishing Department, including Paint Line, E-Coat, Buffing, and Arms Assembly operations. This role ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality production while meeting customer requirements, production schedules, and company objectives. The Finishing Supervisor leads hourly team members, drives continuous improvement initiatives, develops employee skills, and maintains compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
