Job summary

ASSA ABLOY is seeking a 1st Shift Finishing Supervisor to lead the Paint Line, E-Coat, Buffing, and Arms Assembly operations. You will drive safety, quality, and on-time production while coaching hourly team members and advancing continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires an associates or bachelor’s degree in a technical field or business management, with 2+ years in metals machining or electronics manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Supervise daily operations of finishing departments and meet schedules.
• Coordinate with QA to investigate defects and drive corrective actions.
• Apply lean or continuous improvement methods to improve throughput.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily operations of Paint Line, E-Coat, Buffing, and Arms Assembly.
• Ensure production schedules are met with quality, safety and efficiency standards.
• Partner with QA to investigate defects and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor KPIs including productivity, efficiency, scrap, and downtime.
• Identify opportunities to improve throughput, reduce waste, and optimize performance.
• Conduct training, coaching, and performance evaluations for hourly staff.
• Maintain a safe work environment and compliance with safety policies and environmental regs.
