Qualifications

• Associates degree in a technical field or business management required.
• 2+ years of experience in metals machining and electronics manufacturing.
• Experience with lean or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Knowledge of paint systems, coating operations, or finishing processes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily operations of Paint Line, E-Coat, Buffing, and Arms Assembly departments.
• Ensure production schedules are achieved while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency standards.
• Partner with Quality Assurance to investigate defects and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor KPIs including productivity, efficiency, scrap, rework, and downtime.
• Identify opportunities to improve throughput, reduce waste, and optimize departmental performance.
• Conduct employee training, coaching, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as necessary.
• Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety policies.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to paint application and E-Coat processes.

# Supervisor, Rixson Manufacturing**GENERAL DESCRIPTION**The 1st Shift Finishing Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day leadership, coordination, and performance of the Finishing Department, including Paint Line, E-Coat, Buffing, and Arms Assembly operations. This role ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality production while meeting customer requirements, production schedules, and company objectives. The Finishing Supervisor leads hourly team members, drives continuous improvement initiatives, develops employee skills, and maintains compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.**JOB REQUIREMENTS*** Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the Paint Line, E-Coat, Buffing, and Arms Assembly departments.* Ensure production schedules are achieved while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency standards.* Partner with Quality Assurance to investigate defects, implement corrective actions, and reduce scrap and rework.* Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including productivity, efficiency, scrap, rework, and downtime.* Identify opportunities to improve throughput, reduce waste, and optimize departmental performance.* Conduct employee training, coaching, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as necessary.* Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.* Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to paint application and E-Coat processes. **EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE*** Associates degree in a technical field or business management required.* B.S. degree in a technical field or business management, preferred.* 2+ years of experience in metals machining and electronics manufacturing.* Experience in paint systems, coating operations, assembly processes, or finishing operations preferred.* Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, making effective real time decisions* Demonstrated experience with a variety of lean or continuous improvement methodologies.**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**These physical demands are representative of the requirements necessary for an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
