Job summary

Aerotek is hiring a Production Associate - Finisher for Vista, CA. This contract-to-hire role covers 1st and 2nd shifts with a pay rate of $18.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience.

You will hand finish machined parts, perform carbon-prepreg layups, trim molds, and ensure parts meet blueprints with good surface quality. Applicants should have at least 6 months of manufacturing experience, be able to lift 50 lbs, and work with hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• 6 months+ manufacturing experience required.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Hand and power tool experience (hand drill a must).
• Ability to do simple measurements.
• Understanding of written instructions in English; speak at least 70%.

Production Associate - Finisher // 1st and 2nd Shift Available // $18 - 20/HR (Depending on Experience)

Job Description

Responsible for performing all tasks involved in the fabrication of composite parts. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

Responsibilities

• Use files, deburring knives, and sandpaper to hand finish machined metal and plastic parts.
• Perform composite layup such as Carbon Pre-Preg, Carbon Fibers, Kevlar layup, Fiberglass, and Hand Layup.
• Trim excess materials from molds using hand shears or trimming knives.
• Perform part build-up free from wrinkles, air pockets, and voids.
• Remove burrs from machined parts using various hand and power tools.
• Check work to blueprint requirements with assistance and maintain equipment.
• Perform tumbling process and various polishing processes.
• Hold tight tolerances and high-quality standards.
• Perform extra work around the shop, such as sweeping and cleaning up.
• Polish and blend part surfaces.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vista, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
