Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Carrier Operations Analyst, Outbound Logistics to optimize finished vehicle transportation by coordinating with carriers, analyzing data, and standardizing processes. You will drive capacity planning, KPI reviews, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure timely vehicle deliveries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, or a related field.
• 1–3+ years background in finished vehicle logistics and rail transport preferred.
• Experience operating Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and/or yard management platforms.
• Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets or MS Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivots, charts).
• Strong written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to groups.

Responsibilities

• Oversee truck, rail, and ocean carriers to ensure high service standards and prompt delivery of finished vehicles, tendering freight to contracted and spot market partners.
• Enter shipment details into the Transportation Management System (TMS), reconcile with Bills of Lading (BOLs), and audit daily system reports.
• Lead capacity planning initiatives with carriers, rail facilities, and service centers.
• Review KPI metrics with carriers monthly and implement corrective actions when targets are missed.
• Analyze operational data to pinpoint inefficiencies and root causes, implementing solutions across functions.
• Design, document, and deploy standardized logistics workflows.
• Establish and enforce safety guidelines for personnel and vehicles.
• Collaborate with IT and Procurement to streamline new carrier onboarding.
• Manage carrier damage claims with the OBL Claims Damage team.
