Job summary

Smurfit Westrock plc is seeking a QA Inspector to ensure finished products meet defined quality standards before release. You will execute sampling plans, perform inspections, validate form, fit, and function, and collaborate with operators, leads and shift managers to prevent defects from reaching customers.

This role requires strong attention to detail, data entry skills, and the ability to analyze inspection data.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform inspections and document results accurately.
• Familiarity with ANSI sampling plans and quality standards.
• Proficient in data entry and quality reporting.
• Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute final inspections using established plans to identify defects.
• Evaluate internal retains and inspection data prior to release.
• Perform visual inspections and functional testing on products.
• Ensure adherence to specifications and processes through collaboration with operations.
• Verify line clearances are completed and documented.
• Support sorting, rework, or reprocessing based on results.
• Develop containment actions to prevent nonconforming material release.
• Maintain accountability for all product released to finished goods.
• Communicate quality data and issues through reports and handoffs.
• Support other shifts to ensure consistent quality coverage.
• Strive for zero customer complaints from quality errors.
