Smurfit Westrock in the United States is seeking a QA Inspector to ensure finished products meet quality standards before release to customers. You will execute sampling plans, perform visual inspections, and verify form, fit and function across applicable products, collaborating with operators and shift teams to uphold zero-defect goals.

The role requires strong attention to detail, problem-solving and documentation skills, with proficiency in MS Office and knowledge of statistical process

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
• Independent problem solving using escalating procedures.
• Strong attention to detail with disciplined inspection/documentation.
• Working knowledge of statistical process control concepts.

Responsabilités

• Execute final inspections and sampling per ANSI plans to identify defects.
• Evaluate internal retains and inspection data prior to release.
• Perform visual inspections and form, fit, and function testing on products.
• Ensure adherence to specifications and processes through collaboration with operations.
• Verify line clearances are documented and compliant with quality requirements.
• Support sorting, rework or reprocessing based on results and defect severity.
• Develop containment and mitigation actions to prevent nonconforming material reaching customers.
