Job summary

COLE in North Liberty, IA is seeking a Finish Room Operator for 3rd shift (11:45 pm-7:45 am) Monday-Friday. The role ensures smooth transition of finished product from the bagging line to cartoners, operates Quick Lock, check weighers, metal detectors, and maintains quality control throughout the line.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of production experience. Responsibilities include proper bag orientation, feeding the cartoner, palletizing finished

Qualifications

• 1+ year of production/manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Place the predetermined amount of sticks in the moving bagger in-feed tray.
• Ensure proper orientation of sticks.
• Perform quality control of sticks passing over the bagger tables.
• Operate the quick lock unit and maintain even flow of bagged product to cartoner in-feed.
• Keep a neat and orderly work environment.
• Run the bulk pack line, fill cases, run taper and palletize finished product.
• Ensure bags are oriented correctly going into the cartoner.
• Be prepared to adjust schedule or area as needed by production management.
• Communicate with bagger operators, other finish room operators, management and maintenance.
• Final inspection for contamination or adulteration.
• Ensure metal detector program is functioning and address deviations.
• Ensure proper use of uniforms and nitrile gloves for food contact.
• Follow GMPs to monitor food safety, quality and legality.
• Perform final visual inspection of packaged product per Coles Quality Foods specifications.
• Ensure proper closure of quick-lock connection on the bag.
• Ensure proper packaging is used for the production run.
• Ensure proper weight checks are completed and check weighers operate per policy.
• Secure and inspect metal-rejected product.
