Silgan Containers Manufacturing Corporation in Burlington, IA seeks a full-time production operator for 6:00pm–6:00am on a 2-2-3 schedule. You will package product, operate palletizing equipment, and assist with line maintenance in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to read blueprints, and basic mechanical tool use. Manufacturing experience preferred; forklift certified or able to obtain certification.

Qualificações

• Ability to use basic mechanical tools to include measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, etc.).
• Ability to read, understand and work from blueprints and technical manuals.

Responsabilidades

• Package product to required specifications.
• Operate can palletizer and package cans into pallets and boxes.
• Place sleeves in cartons or snakewrap on pallet as required.
• Manually load shells into equipment as required.
• Complete forms and reports as required, both manually and electronically.
• Assist Line Mechanics in basic repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Operate forktruck as required to assist Line Mechanics and fill in for Shipper/Warehouser when required.
• Maintain clean work area and perform other cleaning duties as assigned by Management.
