Job summary

TBEI - Lake Crystal in Minnesota is seeking a Finish Painter to set up and operate painting equipment for truck bodies and parts. This role supports continuous improvement initiatives and helps maintain a clean, efficient production environment.

Qualified applicants have two years of automotive painting education or equivalent, are physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds (100 pounds with overhead hoists), and can work in various positions.

Qualifications

• Two years' education or equivalent knowledge in automotive painting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; up to 100 pounds with overhead hoists.
• Ability to work in various positions and on concrete surfaces.
• Ability to adjust painting equipment and read instructions; perform basic data entry.
• Willingness to complete pulmonary exam for respirator.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate painting equipment to paint truck bodies or parts.
• Assist with continuous process improvement and lean initiatives by following process flow, remaining flexible to complete tasks as part of the team, maintaining a clean work environment and offering suggestions for improvements.

Skills/Qualifications

• Two year's education or equivalent knowledge in automotive painting.
• Ability to manually move product and material up to 50 pounds through regular heavy physical exertion, including but not limited to: lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and bending. Using overhead hoists requires ability to push and pull up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to paint in a variety of positions including but no limited to: kneeling, crouching, bending, twisting, turning and climbing; while working on concrete surfaces, ladders and inside dump bodies.
• Ability to determine and make painting equipment adjustments as needed, read complicated instructions, use measuring devices and perform basic computer data entry.
• Ability to learn operations of multiple machines/jigs.
• Ability to successfully complete a pulmonary exam and medical questionnaire to be evaluated by the company appointed PLHCP in order to wear a respirator.
