The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of autobody or industrial painting experience, proficiency with HVLP spray equipment, and a strong eye for color matching and detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years autobody or industrial painting experience.
• Strong knowledge of paint prep, application techniques, and materials.
• Experience with HVLP spray equipment.
• Ability to recognize and correct finish defects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces through sanding, masking, cleaning, and priming.
• Mix and match paint colors for accurate finish results.
• Apply paint coatings using spray guns (HVLP).
• Inspect and correct defects such as sags, runs, or thin spots.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and material-handling procedures.
• Maintain spray guns, paint booths, and equipment.
• Apply undercoats, sealers, and topcoats to various surfaces (metal, fiberglass, composites).
• Work with production teams to meet job timelines.
• Record paint usage, color codes, and job details.
• Perform touch-ups and final finish repairs.

This position plays a key role in delivering the high-quality truck bodies and trailers our customers expect. About the Role

The Autobody Painter is responsible for preparing, priming, and painting truck bodies and components according to company quality and safety standards. You will ensure all finished surfaces meet durability, appearance, and performance expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces through sanding, masking, cleaning, and priming
• Mix and match paint colors for accurate finish results
• Apply paint coatings using spray guns (HVLP)
• Inspect and correct defects such as sags, runs, or thin spots
• Follow all safety, environmental, and material-handling procedures
• Maintain spray guns, paint booths, and equipment
• Apply undercoats, sealers, and topcoats to various surfaces (metal, fiberglass, composites)
• Work with production teams to meet job timelines
• Record paint usage, color codes, and job details
