Job summary

Rogers Group, Inc. is seeking an Experienced Finish Grade Dozer Operator in the Huntsville, AL area. You will lead safety, quality, and revenue efforts across operations, reporting to the Area Construction Manager.

Responsibilities include operating dozers, performing inspections, and maintaining equipment while adhering to OSHA/ MSHA standards. The role requires flexibility for overtime and weekend work as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-3 years of finish grading experience.
• Must work safely at all times.
• Experience with GPS control is preferred.
• Willingness to overtime, weekends, and nights as needed.
• Team player with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Operate Dozer and related heavy equipment to complete grading tasks.
• Maintain a high level of competency in equipment operation in challenging terrain.
• Perform routine servicing and preventative maintenance as directed.
• Conduct daily pre- and post-inspections with proper documentation.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers; follow safety policies.

Rogers Group is currently seeking an Experienced Finish Grade Dozer Operator in the Huntsville, AL area of the Alabama SMA, reporting to the Area Construction Manager. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to lead safety, quality, and revenue generation throughout our existing operations and additional operations through growth.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate Dozer and other heavy or grading equipment to complete grading and fine grading tasks.
• Ability to operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency and in challenging and unique terrain environments.
• Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management.
• Perform daily pre-and post- inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
• Effective communication skills applicable to position.
• Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / Environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment.

Qualifications

• Experienced working with GPS control is preferred.

• Ability to distinguish and understand signals.
• Ability to read and understand grade stakes.
• Ability to use both hands and feet at the same time.
• Ability to work in an environment with noise levels that may require hearing protection.
• Must be able to hear and understand commands from supervisors, warnings from fellow workers, and alarms on equipment.
• Able to use mechanic’s hand tools and tape measure.
• Able to crawl and climb on, over, under and inside construction equipment.
• Lift and carry objects and materials of various weights up to 100 pounds.
• Good vision, both close-up and long-distance, and ability to look forward, side to side, and toward the rear of equipment.
• Must have good reliable transportation to make it to and from work.
• Self-motivated individual - must be able to perform required duties independently, without constant supervision.
• Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and extended hours as needed.
• Must be able to work outside in all types of weather and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
