Job summary

Rochester Sand and Gravel in Rochester, Minnesota seeks a Construction Equipment Operator - Motor Grader to balance roadways and finish grade using bluetops or electronic blade controls. Proficiency in finish grading, curves, lanes, and shoulders is required.

This full-time seasonal role runs April/May through November, with overtime and some Saturdays; local travel may occur. On-the-job training is provided with potential for advancement.

Qualifications

• Three years or more of "finish blade" experience.
• Ability to understand grades from plans, slopes and identify potential conflicts.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Physical ability to work in all seasonal weather and environmental conditions.
• Ability to take instructions and communicate effectively to others as a team leader.

Responsibilities

• Finish grading including super curves, turn lanes, parking lots and shoulder construction.
• Balance a roadway prior to finish grade and final tolerance using bluetops and/or electronic blade controls.
• On-the-job training with potential for advancement opportunities.
