Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Security Specialist (HSPD-12) to provide personnel and administrative support for DHS FPS, PSD offices in the United States. The role includes initiating background investigations, handling security documents, and performing fingerprinting procedures.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma, at least three years of relevant security experience, and the ability to obtain a US government Public Trust clearance. Proficiency with MS Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience.
• Experience in security/privacy fields is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) preferred.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a US government Public Trust security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Initiate background investigations.
• Manage receipt of security documents from contractor applicants.
• Conduct fingerprinting procedures.
• Initiate contact with references and employers for suitability inquiries.
• Verify level of background investigation and ensure documents are complete.
• Operate office equipment and support staff.
• Maintain and update case tracking systems.
• Provide research and technical support to projects.
• Process requests for Personal Verification Cards under HSPD-12.
• Review eQIP and forms for completeness and provide assistance.
• Answer telephone calls and respond to emails as needed.
• Perform additional duties as required.
